Andreas Reiter
Raabe
pure paint
Künstlerbuch
Renate Wiehager (Hrsg.), Wien 2006, 177 S., dt./engl.
Andreas Reiter Raabe belongs to a generation of artists, who update
the approaches of the early concept art. In his processually designed
series of works, Reiter Raabe declines a strictly conceptual form idiom
and reflects isms of Modernism. Reiter
Raabe's photographic work and his painterly practice are both part of
an overarching discourse.
The book "pure
paint" includes, amongst others, the documentation of the photo
series "Natural Monochrome". Therein the artist systematically
positioned monochrome color sheets as a global activity at locations
in the Americas, Asia, Australia and Europe and photographed them.
The publication
includes essays by Martin Prinzhorn and Renate Wiehager.
